FAQ

What overnight accommodation would you recommend?

If you would prefer to stay in a private house, we have an on site spacious loft double bedroom with wifi, tv, desk, tea & coffee & ensuite facilities which is only a few steps away from the classroom the cost per night is £40 (includes breakfast). If you have a car there is plenty of local parking. Please see our Airbnb Listing for more details but contact us on 01883 340529 / 07963 717063 to check availability for the dates you are attending classes as not all dates are released to the Airbnb site. If you wish to extend your stay to do a bit of site seeing in London or to visit friends/explore the local area that is also possible.

For eating out there are a number of restaurants in Caterham Town Centre which is 2 miles from the hotel but can be reached quickly and easily by car, bus or train. If you are travelling via the M25 to get to us this hotel is 5 minutes drive from Junction 6 (just past Clacket Lane Services). It is also on a direct train route from East Croydon, Clapham Junction, London Bridge or London Victoria stations and so is suitable if you are travelling by train from other parts of the UK or flying into Gatwick or Heathrow.

Our most local low cost hotel accommodation is Caterham/Whyteleafe Travel Lodge Hotel which is fine for a short/overnight stay. It is a short train journey / 7 minutes drive from both Kenley station (our Kenley classroom) / Caterham Station (our Caterham Studio).

Airbnb also offers plenty of other local accommodation options, take a look at the properties that are situated near Kenley, Caterham, Purley or East Croydon Stations or near the 434 or 407 bus route. If you wish stay a bit more central to Croydon where there are shopping centres, supermarkets and places to eat Premier Inn London Croydon Town Centre and Easy Hotel Croydon are both a short walking distance to East Croydon Station. By train, it would take 15 minutes to get to Kenley/Caterham Station and on a fast train to London Bridge/Victoria station about 20 minutes.

If you are staying with a friend or relative or have found somewhere to stay but are not sure how close they are to our school venues or would like more information about our accommodation please feel free to contact us . We will be happy to help you.

What happens when there are bad weather conditions?

In the event of unfavourable weather conditions in our area, Inspired Creations will make the decision to cancel, by the latest 1 hour before the start time of the class, if we consider it unsafe to access the local main roads surrounding our classrooms in Kenley or Caterham we will send you an email and try to send you a text.

If you need to begin your journey sooner and are unsure if the class will run, please call Hannah Collison: 01883 340529 / 07963 717063 before you set off.

If you are attending a regular weekly class or a multiple day workshop that has already begun, a 'catch up' date will be arranged or extra time will be added to the remaining class dates that course.

If you are booked onto a workshop that has not yet started and Inspired Creations make the decision to cancel the class we will offer students either the option to transfer to an alternative date, a transfer to a different course or to receive a full refund.

If our classes are unaffected by bad weather but you are unable to attend a course because of the conditions local to you, unfortunately our cancellation policy will need to apply. We will not be able to offer an alternative date or refund.

Please note that travel and accommodation expenses will not be compensated for should Inspired Creations need to cancel, offer a 'catch up date' or re-arrange a course date. Please ensure you have adequate travel and cancellation insurance cover.
